Overview of Year 10 Chemistry

Year 10 Chemistry Revision Checklist

All boys are issued with a textbook as shown below which covers the work covered throughout the year in Chemistry. ISBN:978-0-19-913878-4 Chemistry for Cambridge IGCSE– RoseMarie Gallagher and Paul Ingram. This is a comprehensive textbook which covers the necessary chemistry in detail and whilst it was originally purchased when students undertook the Cambridge IGCSE course the book is still totally relevant. There is little difference in content between the Cambridge IGCSE course and 9-1 AQA course.

Revision books can be purchased from many local book shops and on line but the department does a bulk purchase of books for students at the start of each academic year with a significant discount past onto students.

The file area contains a folder called ‘Independent study guides’. There is a guide for each topic which details the Chemistry covered in each topic along with some suggested activities and links to Fuse School video tutorials. Boys has said that these resources have been useful to them in their revision.
