Boys in year 10 continue to study the AQA 9-1 Physics GCSE (course code 8463). The course is studied over three years and is assessed terminally in written examinations. There is no coursework.

Year 10 Physics Curriculum planner

As in Year 9 Independent study guides are available for all the topics taught in Year 10. These can be found in the Physics files section and can be used to aid revision for topic tests and the end of year exam. A full Year 10 revision check list will be issued to all the boys before their Year 10 exams, however it can also be accessed through the Year 10 Physics Revision Booklet

All boys are issued a text book, Key Science – Physics by Jim Breithaupt, in Year 10. The text book is comprehensive and covers the necessary detail in the new AQA 9-1 physics content for the majority of the topics studied.
