Boys in year 11 continue to study the AQA 9-1 Physics GCSE (course code 8463). The course is studied over three years and is assessed terminally in two written examinations. There is no coursework.

Year 11 Physics Curriculum planner

As in years 9 and 10 Independent Study Guides are available in the Physics Files for all topics covered in the GCSE course. These should be used to aid revision for end of topic tests, Prelim and final examinations. A Year 11 revision check list will be issued to all the boys before their Prelim exams which contains all the topics to be examined in the summer. Class teachers will highlight the areas that will not be examined in the Prelim so boys can focus their revision effectively.

All boys are issued a text book, CGP AQA GCSE Physics which is specifically written to cover the new AQA 9-1 Physics
