Boys in year 9 study Chemistry during one double lesson each week.
The AQA 9-1 Chemistry course (course code 8462) is started in year 9.
The GCSE course is studied over three years and is assessed terminally in written examinations. There is no coursework.

All boys are issued with a textbook which will be one of the books shown below, both of which cover the work covered throughout the year in Chemistry.
The file area contains a folder called ‘Independent study guides’. There is a guide for each topic which details the Chemistry covered in each topic along with some suggested activities and links to Fuse School video tutorials. Boys has said that these resources have been useful to them in their revision.
