Year 11 rugby is a step up from lower and middle school, with a real focus on developing players for senior rugby. Training begins early in the year to develop a sound fitness and skill base ready for the season in the autumn
Matches take place on a Saturday, while there are also the County Cup fixtures which are played on week days. In recent years one or two players have made the step up to the 1st Team, but this is not always guaranteed. While the focus is on player development and bridging the gap between the lower years and seniors, U16 rugby is also the final year where the boys will play together as a whole and so is often quite special.
