What a tense game!! One doesn’t like to blame referees, but they certainly had a huge impact on the flow of the game. Some very questionable calls led to Iestyn Williams having to sit early on and then ultimately fouling out. The Coach got a technical!!! after his despair at a series of calls going against us.

That aside we stumbled through the first period as we had no tempo in defence but held a one point lead. The second period saw the game swing in our favour as Josh Merry took over scoring 11 of his eventual 23 in a 18-2 run.

Thereafter it stayed close as we battled against the whistle happy ref and their one very strong player. We held on for a good victory.
