Bishop’s went behind for the first time in this competition after conceding a penalty in the first few minutes of the game, which was successfully converted to give St. Peter’s an early lead.

A determined response from the Bishop’s team enabled Sam Arnold to drive in an equaliser from the edge of the box. As the team pushed to take the lead, Lewis Routledge was able to pursue the ball into the area and beat the keeper to give Bishop’s a 2-1 advantage at half time.

St. Peter’s equalised at the start of the second half from a free kick awarded just outside the penalty area. Bishop’s then hit the post and the St. Peter’s keeper made point blank saves before Dan Beckles headed home for the victory.

A solid team performance secured Bishop’s place in the next round.
