Following their success at the Senior Finals three of the boys returned for the first round of knock outs in the National Champs alongside them was Olly Martin, a Y7 playing at number one. Brock weren’t entirely sure what to make of this precocious young man as their six foot number one towered over Olly.

The singles matches predominantly went the way of BWS with the familiar Barry, Benson and Rident taking all three of their rubbers in swift succession. Olly battled hard in his rubber and was on court by far the longest, but in the end was beaten by a player 7 years his senior.

Olly was soon to get revenge however as he and Benson doubled up as the top pair to win their doubles rubber, while Barry and Rident also won theirs to take the match 10-2 to BWS. The boys will next play Bournemouth Collegiate School in the next round after Easter.
